ORANGE SWEATER
As the leaves are changing colors and the wind gets a brisk chill in it, you know it is fall. And one of the easiest ways to pump some fall feeling into your wardrobe is to add festive fall colors. While bright orange and rich maroon tones may seem difficult to seamlessly weave into your everyday wear, it may be easier than you think. One of the key ways to wear this is by picking one piece of your outfit to inject a fall color into. Whether it be burgundy pants, and a neutral shirt, or an olive pullover and your favorite pair of jeans, it is best to not try to juggle too many colors at once (unless that’s totally the look you’re going for then has rock it). Another easier way to rock this trend is to get fall colored accessories to add a pop of color to any outfit. It is less of a commitment than stocking your closet with fall colored outwear, but delivers just as big of an impact.
For this look, I chose to focus on the outer layer to rock a fall color. In the spirit of Halloween, a rustic orange was the color I chose. Fall colors typically are warmer, and based in a red, yellow, or orange hue. The most popular ones this year are burnt orange, burgundy, Marsala, olive, and a deep brown. Underneath I put a white oxford button up, to dress up the look a little more. For the bottoms though, I chose to rock one of fall’s biggest trends this year: corduroy. A nice khaki corduroy will become your versatile fall friend this year, as it adds a layer of texture and an element of “I keep up with fashion” to your outfit.
