BOW TIE GIVEAWAY AND BLOG
Formal Attire
The bow tie is mostly worn at formal events complete with formal attire. The Black tie is one of the most common dressing code for most formal events. When attending an event that has specified this dress code, a black tuxedo made of silk, satin or grosgrain material will be the most ideal. This should be accompanied by a bow tie that is black in color, preferably the self-tie. The pre-tied one will make your outfit look cheap. You wouldn’t want to risk looking cheap in such a formal event would you? You can add a matching waistcoat or a cummerbund and you’ll be good to go.
A white tie dress code is also common in formal events. It also goes by the name of full dress and is said to be the mother of all dress codes in terms of formality. It is necessary that you adorn in a white tie bow tie, self- tie to be precise. This is no event to suddenly convince yourself that you look great in mustard. In short don’t experiment with colors. If you can find out beforehand what the event entails the better for you to be able to plan for your outfit. If you are not familiar with the different dress codes, a little bit of research won’t hurt.
Semi-Formal Attire
Casual events that require you to dress in semi-formal attire are very flexible when it comes to the rules of fashion. You can experiment with different colors, patterns and textures of bow ties. You have the freedom to choose from polka dots to thin stripes in different colors. Bow ties that are made from tweed or velvet materials add a bit of fun and a touch of modernity to your outfit. Always remember put the dress code into consideration. There are some hosts who might not like the idea of any dressing that is over the top. Be sure to pair your neck accessory with a dress shirt or an excellent suite a pocket square. A classy bow tie is definitely going to make you get the spotlight in any event so better be prepared for your 15 seconds of fame.
