RED SHORTS GIVEAWAY & RED SHORTS BLOG
Within the spectrum of red, there are a few different colors you can usually choose from: the typical red, one that leans closer to darker color, and then a dustier washed-out red.
If you choose to go with typical red, I would suggest choosing softer colors for your shirt and shoes. You don’t want to burn people’s retinas with three or four blinding colors at once. A white t-shirt or button-down oxford is more than sufficient.
If you like color, I would say a collard shirt in a faded blue would be nice, or really any t-shirt that doesn’t stand out too much. Keep your shoes understated as well.
Typical Red
It’s about providing a balance between sharp and soft, having a contrast of colors and textures.
Darker Red
Should you choose to wear something that is darker red, I actually think this opens up a lot more options for you. It brings darker options of shoes and shirts into the conversation.
If you’re going to need to wear a color, there are a lot more options here. You can do the aforementioned light blue and white, but it also opens up darker options like black or dark grey. Again, I would tend to avoid anything too bright like yellow or pink.
The dark shade gives you an excellent opportunity to mix in dark shoes, even black leather.
Washed-Out Red
The third option I mentioned is a dustier, washed-out shade of red. If you are the type of guy that is partial to a louder, more colorful look, these would be the shorts to wear.
They may be a bit shorter than some would like, so don’t be afraid to find something a little longer. The idea though, is like with a sharper short and more subdued shirt, you’re creating contrast. Don’t be afraid to mix in a bright blue or yellow if that’s your jam.
